Prior to his retirement, Dato Dr Amin was the Deputy-Managing Director of Century Logistics Berhad from April 1995 to September 2014.

DATO’ DR MOHAMED AMIN KASSIM

He initiated the re-engineering plan which lead to the transformation of the Century Logistics allowing them to provide supply chain management and integrated logistics services as well as establishing strong partnerships in Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Dubai and Syria.

His transformational plan helped grew Century Logistics’ revenue from RM11 million in 1996 to nearly RM280 million in 2014 and was key in its market listing in 2001.

Started his career in 1975 as a trainee executive with Guthrie Boustead Shipping Agencies and climbed his way up within the industry. His vast experiences spanned from setting up a branch office locally to setting up overseas offices. He was the Group Marketing Manager Kontena Nasional and later became the General Manager for Evergreen Shipping business at the age of 32;

He was the Co-Writer of the Logistics Chapter in the Industrial Master Plan 2006-2020. In 2010, he was the leader of the consulting team that submitted the roadmap for the development of the Malaysian Logistics Industry;

Dato Dr Amin is a Chartered Member of CILT and graduated from the University of London with a Doctorate in Management in 2002. He was also awarded the Certified Corporate Strategist Doctorate by the Cambridge Association of Managers as well as the Certified Doctor of Business Administration by the Oxford Association of Management both in 2006.
